Dues and Structure
Membership Dues Structure for Holmes Partnership®
July 1, 2009-June 30, 2010
Fiscal Year
Given the difficult fiscal conditions facing all institutions, and
the need to recruit new members, the following revision in the dues structure
for the 2009–2010 Fiscal Year was approved by the Holmes Partnership Board of
Directors on February 26, 2009 (Item 6.f.).
The approved Fee Schedule for the 2009–2010 Fiscal Year is as
follows:
Local partnerships/full doctoral level: $3,000
National Partners$6,500
The goal of this fee schedule is to reduce dues for current
members, while making membership more attractive to potential partners for whom
the current cost of membership ($4,000) is prohibitive. If this fee schedule
enables us to expand our revenue base, the anticipated plan to maintain this
dues structure and then explore the option of providing greatly reduced
registration rates to members for the annual meeting may occur sometime in the
future.
Local Partner: Dues- $3,000/year
Represent partnerships with a commitment to teacher preparation and are primarily responsible for carrying out the goals and objectives of The Holmes Partnership®. Characteristics of a local partnership include at least one institution of higher education, at least one school district, and at least one local teacher organization. The membership dues for each local partnership are shared among all of its local member organizations. Local Partner Representatives are eligible for seats on the Board of Directors and have direct access and influence over the agenda of The Holmes Partnership®. Local partners also have additional support from their regional representatives. The Holmes Partnership® Annual Conference provides opportunities for the local partners to meet with others in their states and regions to gain resources on quality teaching and teacher education.
National Partner: Dues- $6,500/year
Represents various teacher organizations, accreditation organizations, research organizations, and other national organizations that are committed to the agenda, goals, and objectives of The Holmes Partnership®.
